hat-astic

Madeleine was a little baldy as a baby and toddler so I was always on the lookout for unique and fancy hats for her sweet little head. She soon become known in the neighborhood as "the hat girl". She loved all the gasps of ohhh's and ahh's as she sported a new bonnet or floppy design. If I had only known about Goorin!! This fab vintage daisy design will definitely have her strutting into first grade in style!

kookie goes bananas for monkeybar buddies!

We are going bananas for monkeybar buddies! We pair these under our kookie skirts + dresses so that our girls can twirl and hang from the playground without any underwear shots!. There will be no more "I see Paris, I see France, I see Maddy and Kylie's underpants" with these fun undershorts! One of our favorite combos is the lavender shorts with our doubles anyone dress in ice dance floor (see above right). The only issue is that my Maddy loves them so much, she cannot stop showing them off. In the midst of our Easter dinner, she stands up on her chair pulls up her beautiful Easter skirt and shakes her cute little monkey butt for all and sundry to see. After everyone had stop laughing or choking on their turkey, her Uncle Mickey told her to stop taking after her mother!

paper source! of course... of course...

We adore Paper Source's latest gift wrap designs. Our favorite is Butterfly Migration (pictured above) which is part of their Green Choices line. This whimsical pattern is printed on 100% recycled, 30% post-consumer waste Eco-White paper. You can purchase this online at www.paper-source.com for $2.25 per flat sheet or $7.95 for a roll.

Another fab find was this Wonder Woman Lunchbox (pictured right), it brought back memories of me jumping off the stairs and pretending to save the world! I would pull on my Spider Girl Underoos, unforunately there was not a blue-light Kmart special that day on the Wonder Woman ones, tie an old sheet around my neck, fold tin foil bands around my wrists and I was ready to fight off the bad guys! POW BAM KAPOW!! This hero packing box is $12.50 at www.paper-source.com.

sweet girlie gifts at craftsbury kids

We love handmade gifts and one of the sweetest places to shop is at Craftsbury kids. It was so hard to pick amongst all the fabulous handmade items. Madeleine and Kylie adore fairies and this cupcake fairy is a perfect birthday present for our little fairy lovers. This scrumptious little Pink Cupcake Fairy will surround your little girl with that vanilla cupcake aroma for as long as you keep her! Each Cupcake Fairy has hand-dyed glittery wings, and holds a hand-sculpted cupcake. Completely handmade by Lollipop Workshop for $40.00.

Inspired by vintage peg and clothespin dolls, posy girl pendants are painted completely by hand with caring attention to detail and finished with a thick coat of varnish. The best part is, each little girl is entirely customizable. You choose her hair, clothing, and skin colors, along with the letter you would like on her little heart necklace. She'll be as unique as the girl who will wear her! for $16.00.

I just have fallen in love with this precious little ring. A heart cut from 3mm plywood is carefully collaged with a one-of-a-kind design and finished with a glossy protective sealer. The ring is adjustable to fit all sizes. Handmade by artist Zoe Woods. "Happy Day" is truly unique as no two rings are alike and only $8.00. buy these gorgeous items at www.craftsburykids.com.
